TRICARE covers many different rehabilitation services to handle alcohol and drug dependence like detoxification services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will naturally need to obtain a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of rehab service, which may be arranged using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program is the favored rehabilitation choice, TRICARE covers 21 days or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very helpful, as it may help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional treatment counselors waiting to help you today.
