TRICARE is medical insurance which is offered to folks in the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is more common than one would assume, and the necessity to offer treatment to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers numerous rehabilitation services to handle alcohol and drug dependence such as detox services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will obviously be required to obtain a prior approval before taking part in any sort of rehab service, which can be arranged using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center is the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in that facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits concerning the length of time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which may be very helpful, as it could help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional rehabilitation counselors ready to assist you today.
