Medicare is a sort of health care insurance created by the government for senior citizens, along with people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they can also get to see their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
