Medicare is a kind of health care insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the person will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start treatment, they will also have to see their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
