Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the government for older persons, as well as people who have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehab, they will also have to see their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
