Medicaid is a health insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance coverage. Whether or not a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only determined by their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn a fair income. For example, men and women who have quite a few dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even though they earn what might be considered a reasonable income. Medicaid may also cover the price of rehab, if someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and needs rehab. There are many alcohol and drug rehab centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what kinds of rehabilitation are covered. Certain states only include outpatient rehab services for example while other states cover more extensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab program. If someone is involved with substance abuse and needs help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have the money or any other form of health care insurance to cover treatment, they could determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug and alcohol rehab program that's approved inside their state.
