Rehabilitation counselors in a LGBT rehab will help clients repair relationships with their family, in the case their family disagree with their sexual choice as is generally the case. This situation is an extremely frequent trigger for drug abuse, and it is an example of a thing that would be handled in treatment. LGBT clients often just want to be accepted within their lives, and rehab will help them accept themselves and build confidence so that they can lead a healthy life clear of alcohol and drugs.
