Medicare is a sort of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, in addition to people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person will need to acquire treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start treatment, they may also have to see their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be in a hospital because of their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
