Self pay is often times the only option for many who need rehabilitation within a drug rehabilitation center for drug use but have no medical insurance. It isn't uncommon for a person hooked on alcohol or drugs to not have private medical health insurance, as it can be difficult to keep a drug or alcohol habit going while also keeping employment. Individuals may not have private medical insurance in the first place, but will make too much money to be entitled to Medicaid which could cover some types of rehab. When someone does have to self pay for treatment and doesn't have private medical insurance, it's in their best interests to check out Medicaid to find out if they meet the criteria, if they haven't already done this. When they have no other choice but to self pay, individuals in addition to their loved ones can generally produce the funds to cover rehab some way. Luckily, many drug treatment facilities will work with folks whose only option is to self pay to make it more possible for them to take part in an excellent drug and alcohol treatment center. There are payment assistance options available at many drug and alcohol treatment centers that qualified clients can take advantage of.
