Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with people who have certain disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual needs to be hospitalized for problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
