Medicaid is a type of health care insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance coverage. Whether an individual qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only determined by their earnings however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they earn a fair income. There are many alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs which accept Medicaid, but various states have different rules for what types of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehab services as an example while other states cover far more extensive rehab such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab center. If a person is involved in drug abuse and desires help, they're able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this help. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the money or any other form of medical insurance to cover rehabilitation, they can determine if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program that is approved inside their state.
