Self pay is sometimes the only option for individuals who need rehabilitation in the alcohol and drug treatment center for drug abuse but have zero health care insurance. It isn't uncommon for a person addicted to alcohol or drugs to not have private health insurance, as it can be difficult to keep an alcohol or drug habit going while also maintaining employment.
