TRICARE is health insurance which is offered to individuals in the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to provide rehab to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to handle drug and alcohol dependence including detox services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People who have TRICARE will of course be required to get a prior authorization before partaking in any kind of rehab service, which may be arranged using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility will be the preferred treatment choice, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are particular limits about the length of time a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very helpful, as it can certainly help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled treatment counselors waiting to help today.
