TRICARE covers a number of rehabilitation services to handle alcohol and drug dependence including detox services, in addition to treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will naturally have to obtain a prior approval before taking part in any sort of rehab service, which may be organized using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility will be the favored rehab option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits as to how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very useful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors standing by to assist you today.
