Medicare is a type of medical insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the individual must obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual has to be hospitalized for their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they've got to self pay.
