TRICARE is medical health insurance that is offered to individuals in the armed forces of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is a lot more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer rehabilitation to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers a number of rehabilitation services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence like detoxification services, in addition to rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. If an inpatient facility could be the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in such a center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are particular limits as to how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered.
