Medicaid is a health care insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance. Whether or not someone qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they make an acceptable income. For instance, individuals who have a lot of dependents may qualify for Medicaid even though they make what might be described as a sensible income. Medicaid may also cover the price of rehab, when someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires rehab. There are several drug and alcohol treatment centers which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct guidelines for what types of rehab are covered. Certain states only cover outpatient rehabilitation services as an example while other states cover more intensive treatment such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab program. If somebody is involved in drug use and wants help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this help. If they don't have Medicaid and also don't have the money or any other form of health insurance to pay for rehab, they could check if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehabilitation center which is approved in their state.
