Medicare is a sort of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only real exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they will also have to see their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be hospitalized for problem, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
