Medicaid is a type of health insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether an individual is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only determined by their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn a good income. For example, men and women who have quite a few dependents may qualify for Medicaid regardless of whether they earn what would certainly be a fair income. Medicaid could also cover the expenses of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and needs rehab. There are several drug rehabilitation programs which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what types of treatment are covered. Some states only include outpatient treatment services for example while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation say for example a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehab program. If someone is involved with drug abuse and wants help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have enough cash or some other form of medical health insurance to cover rehabilitation, they could find out if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that is approved within their state.
