Medicare is a sort of health insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, in addition to individuals with certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start treatment, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual should be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
