Offering gender-specific rehab services has proven beneficial in circumstances where traditional rehab facilities have not meet expectations, like coping with situations inside a women's life that are distinctive and painful. Such issues may have to do with sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, eating disorders, one's family members and motherhood, or other really serious issues that are specific to women. Research has shown that women may also become involved in substance abuse more readily than men, and so are more predisposed to sickness as a consequence of addiction issues than males as a result.
