Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, along with people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehab, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their issue, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
