Medicaid is a type of health care insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance. Whether or not an individual qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and individuals shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they make an acceptable income. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services as an example while other states cover far more extensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term drug rehabilitation program. If someone is involved in drug abuse and wants help, they can use their Medicaid health coverage to get this help. If they do not have Medicaid and also don't have the funds or any other form of medical health insurance to cover rehab, they can find out if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which is approved inside their state.
