Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the government for senior citizens, as well as those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person must obtain treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be in a hospital for problem, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
