Medicare is a type of health care insurance developed by the U.S. government for older folks, along with those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
