Being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS may trigger drug abuse, or dangerous sexual conduct as a result of drug abuse may have caused the individual to contract the illness. People who have HIV/AIDS, either due to their drug use or as a pre-existing condition just before their drug abuse issue, typically require treatment services tailored to satisfy their specific needs and problems. Many of these challenges are physical in nature, because of the fact that drug users with HIV/AIDS rarely take care of themselves and take the proper medications they need to preserve their health. Consequently, they arrive to rehab in very poor health and this will have to be addressed as a priority whilst addressing other important issues.
