If an inpatient program will be the preferred rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in that facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits as to how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which may be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery.
