Medicare is a type of medical health insurance created by the government for senior citizens, and also people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they may also have to see their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
