Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the government for older persons, along with people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual must be hospitalized for his or her problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
