Treatment counselors will work to identify environmental issues in the client's life such as negative relationships or other things that should be addressed in order for the individual to be mentally healthy and sober t when they depart dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab which will help them develop more effective coping mechanisms so that they are better able to handle life circumstances well after they leave dual diagnosis rehab instead of turning to drugs as a possible option.
