Medicaid is a medical insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance. Whether someone qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they make a reasonable income. For instance, people who have many dependents may qualify for Medicaid regardless of whether they earn what might be considered a reasonable income. Medicaid could also cover the expenses of treatment, if a person has been abusing drugs or alcohol and requires rehab. There are many drug and alcohol rehab centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what forms of rehabilitation are covered. Certain states only include outpatient rehab services for example while other states cover far more intensive rehabilitation such as a residential stay in long-term drug treatment program. If somebody is involved in drug abuse and needs help, they can use their Medicaid health coverage to get this help. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the funds or another type of medical health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they can see if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in a drug rehabilitation center that is approved within their state.
