TRICARE is health insurance that is provided to people in the armed forces of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is a lot more common than one would think, and the need to provide treatment to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehabilitation services to handle alcohol and drug dependence such as detoxification services, and also rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People with TRICARE will naturally be required to have a prior approval before taking part in any type of rehabilitation service, that may be organized using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center is the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding the length of time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very useful, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors waiting to help today.
