Medicaid is a type of health insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government funded insurance coverage. Whether or not a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn a good income.
