Medicare is a type of medical insurance created by the federal government for seniors, along with individuals with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual must receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start treatment, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for their issue, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
