Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, as well as individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
