Someone that is LGBT might not feel safe inside a conventional treatment facility amongst folks who aren't experiencing the same challenges they are experiencing within their lives. A LGBT center provides an environment that is free from judgment, where LGBT clients can feel totally safe and comfortable divulging to their peers and rehabilitation counselors issues which need to be resolved in order to recover.
