Medicaid is a type of medical health insurance available for many people who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance coverage. Whether an individual is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only determined by income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they make a reasonable income. For example, individuals who have quite a few dependents may qualify for Medicaid even though they earn what would be described as a fair income. Medicaid may also cover the expenses of rehabilitation, if someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and needs rehabilitation. There are several drug and alcohol treatment centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what forms of treatment are covered. Some states only include outpatient treatment services for instance while other states cover far more extensive rehabilitation such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. If anyone is involved with drug use and needs help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid and in addition don't have the cash or another type of medical health insurance to cover rehab, they can check if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehab program that is approved within their state.
