Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, along with individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the person will need to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be in a hospital for problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
