Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the government for senior citizens, in addition to people with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for his or her problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
