Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the government for seniors, along with individuals with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be hospitalized for their issue, as well as the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
