Dual diagnosis rehabs are facilities which provide rehabilitation to handle both mental health and addiction issues at the same time. Rehabilitation counselors will continue to work to spot environmental issues in the client's life such as negative relationships or other things which should be addressed in order for the individual to be mentally stable and sober t when they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral treatment which will help them develop more effective coping mechanisms so they are able to better deal with life situations more proficiently if they depart dual diagnosis rehab instead of turning to drugs as an inferior answer.
