Being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS may trigger drug abuse, or risky sexual behavior as a result of abusing drugs may have caused the person to contract the disease. Folks who suffer from HIV/AIDS, either due to their drug use or as a pre-existing problem prior to their substance abuse problem, typically require treatment services tailor-made in order to meet their specific demands and problems.
