Criminal justice client rehabs are available like a significantly better option than time in jail or heavy fines for individuals who have already been convicted of any sort of drug or alcohol related crime. For instance, a person who has been found guilty of dui of drugs or alcohol may be eligible to get treatment services for problem instead of serving time in prison. The judge may even order that the individual receive rehab, either alone or along with other consequences. First time offenders in particular in many cases are given the opportunity to select a criminal justice client rehab as an alternative to other sentencing, and it is highly recommended that they reap the benefits of it if it's an alternative. The concept behind criminal justice client rehabs is that it is much more effective and efficient to invest time and energy into rehabilitation than punishment. Much research has been carried out to find out how effective this method is on recidivism rates, i.e. if the criminal justice client returns or not to criminal justice system following rehab. All indicators seem to be quite positive, and criminal justice clients that take part in rehabilitation have a better potential for remaining out of the judicial system following rehab.
