TRICARE is health care insurance which is offered to members of the military of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is more common than one would assume, and the necessity to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different treatment services to handle alcohol and drug dependence like detox services, along with rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will obviously be asked to get a prior approval before taking part in any kind of treatment service, which is often arranged using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program will be the favored treatment option, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits concerning how long a TRICARE member can stay in the inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which may be very helpful, as it can certainly help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert rehabilitation counselors standing by to help you today.
