Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to people with specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the person must obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehab, they can also get to visit their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual has to be hospitalized for issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
