Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the government for older folks, along with people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the individual must obtain treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their physician who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
