Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the government for senior citizens, and also individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the individual will have to acquire treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual needs to be hospitalized for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
