TRICARE is health insurance that is offered to members of the military of the United States. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to address drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. If an inpatient facility could be the favored rehab option, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in that facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits regarding just how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very helpful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery.
