Those that have TRICARE will obviously be required to have a prior approval before taking part in any type of rehabilitation service, which is often organized with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center is the favored treatment option, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding the length of time a TRICARE member can stay in the inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very useful, as it may help include family members in the healing and recovery process.
