Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, and also those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual must obtain treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital for issue, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
